Mr. Chamblee is a Certified Business Intermediary and a Merger & Acquisition Master Intermediary (M&AMI). The M&AMI designation is awarded to intermediaries who have proven professional experience through a verified transaction record, education, and certification as a CBI. The M&A Source, a division of the International Business Broker’s Association (IBBA), is the world’s largest international organization of experienced, dedicated merger and acquisition intermediaries representing the middle market.
Mr. Chamblee received two Bachelor of Business Administration degrees (Finance and Management) from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. He began his real estate career in 1979 as an appraiser of commercial real estate and received his MAI designation in 1986. He joined the Dallas Regional Office of Equitable Real Estate in 1986. His focus was on capital transactions (acquisitions, dispositions, and mortgage origination). In 1990, Mr. Chamblee was transferred to Chicago, Illinois and served four years as Vice/Senior Vice President of Capital Transactions for the Equitable Real Estate Chicago Regional Office.
Mr. Chamblee returned to Dallas, Texas in 1994 and was promoted to Executive Vice President and Head of the Equitable Real Estate Dallas Regional Office, a seven-state region. Mr. Chamblee was responsible for the day to day operations of a $3.0 billion diverse real estate portfolio including the mortgage origination, mortgage servicing, real estate appraisal, investment management, and capital transactions sectors. His primary focus was the acquisition of commercial real estate for the advisory clients of Equitable Real Estate/Lend Lease Real Estate Investment.
Capital transactions completed by Mr. Chamblee include wholesale distribution, service, technology, manufacturing, construction, import/export, health care and medical service. Property types sold and acquired include multifamily, retail, office, industrial, land, and hotel.
Mr. Chamblee is philanthropically active in organizations that support the outdoors, youth programs and conservation. Mr. Chamblee is an active member of several other professional organizations, including the International Business Brokers Association, and M&A Source. Mr. Chamblee is a past Chairman of the Outdoor Tomorrow Foundation.
